Verodalla was born in Beaune, Burgundy. She began her professional career in gastronomy very young, first as manager then as owner of a Michelin-starred establishment in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Her break from haute cuisine came in 2002. Since 2007, she has been exhibiting her works of art in a Beaune gallery that was opened for that very purpose across from the Hospices de Beaune.

2007 and 2008 were good years for the artist. Verodalla began to show her work little by little, in the gallery, at exhibits, and in national shows. 2009 her pieces made their way into private collections through exhibitions in Monaco, Lyon, and Paris. She also began exporting her work.

2010 is the year firmly focused on the international with Venice, Verona and the USA. Since a emotional connection and  professional  was woven with New York. 2011 is the continuation of this climb with several events in New York and installation of new workshops in Fontaine les Dijon for a place more appropriate.

The artist’s world is a reflection in volume, a choice of materials, and a well thought-out color palette.

Each canvas reveals a universe and reflects a sober, refined, soothing, cheerful, simple, and sometimes obvious atmosphere. Verodalla’s creations offer harmony and purity, escape and balance; a sensation of well-being predominates in the artist’s work.
Verodalla’s art was triggered by a technical revelation: a mineral paste made of chalk and cellulose fibers.
Verodalla recalls a personal impression or feeling fixed in her mind and couples it with an image that caught her attention. She then conceptualizes the canvas or sculpture inwardly until she feels compelled to create the material object.

The natural material—which requires considerable dexterity for modeling and several hours of sandpapering and drying—offers Verodalla the possibility of adding texture to her flat, monochromatic pieces.

From Idea to Reality
The artist begins by inwardly registering her impressions and the desired visuals as she assembles the canvas or sculpture. She then segments her thoughts so that her technique does not become an obstacle. It is through this mentalization process that the artist’s work takes on its shape, colour, form, support, texture, etc.

Verodalla est née à Beaune, en Bourgogne. Les coteaux et les vignobles enracinent sa famille. L’Art culinaire est sa première passion et la conduit à co-diriger un restaurant gastronomique à Nuits St Georges. Très vite, le jeune couple voit cette passion couronnée par une étoile au guide Michelin. La rupture avec la gastronomie arrivera en 2002.

Refusant le côté sombre qui a investi son esprit elle décide, à 35 ans,malgré les difficultés, de montrer le beau, la pureté, l’harmonie dans un soucis d’équilibre et d’apaisement.

Dès 2007, elle présente son travail dans une galerie à Beaune, face aux célèbres Hospices.

2007, 2008 et 2009 seront d’excellents crus. Verodalla commence à montrer son travail petit à petit, lors d’expositions personnelles, collectives ou lors d’événements nationaux. Certaines de ses oeuvres rentrent dans des collections particulières à Monaco, Lyon, Paris… L’exportation débute.

2010 est l’année résolument tournée vers l’international avec Venise, Vérone et les USA. Depuis un véritable lien affectif s’est instauré avec New York.

2011 est la poursuite de cette ascension avec plusieurs événements à New York et l’installation des ateliers à Fontaine les Dijon dans un lieu plus approprié.

Verodalla nous propose un univers épuré, apaisant, gaie, sobre et pourtant si évident. Une fenêtre ouverte sur d’autres mondes. Elle est une des rares artistes à travailler une matière composée de fibres de cellulose et de craie qui demande dextérité et patience pour obtenir finesse des courbes et volupté. Ses réalisations sont un mélange novateur de modelage, sculpture et peinture, avec une palette de couleur profondément réfléchie. La cohérence de ses collections, et son soucis de proposer un univers unique, lui demande une anticipation constante sur ses créations futures.
